Bad ideas are like fine wine...

Today our hero expands upon a stupid tweet in which he (perhaps accidentally!) called for the USDA to be abolished:

Food producers, rather than food eaters or social service recipients, are the main “client” of the USDA in a way that compromises the priorities of some of its component agencies. The logo, for example, is meant to suggest amber waves of grain rather than poor children eating nutritious and safe food:

Wow. That's a serious problem. It'd almost make sense for the regulatory function to be set up as a separate service. You could call it the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, or something like that. I'm just thinking off the top of my head here, folks -- someone with more knowledge than poor Ydiot should flesh this thing out.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. This USDA abolition business is the very beginning of something great, and we don't want to stifle our hero's "process" with too-harsh criticism. Let's let this one fester (err, mature) for a while. To be continued.

Amber Alert: That logo our hero was talking about, it's the green and blue one up there. THINK BEFORE YOU POST.

  1. I have gored our hero on the General Glut theory and Keynesian economics:
